Available roles are: Farmhand, Groundskeeper/Gardener, General labourer

 

We are currently seeking a number of positions to create a team of highly motivated, self-starting and enthusiastic people to assist in the maintenance of our property comprising of hay production, managed pastures, polo fields and gardens. You will be supported by the Property Manager and a team of "best in class" advisors who set the plan for the production of hay, management of pasture and maintenance of the polo fields.

 

Candidates must have:

  • Excellent interpersonal (team player) and verbal communication skills
  • A hands on and positive work ethic
  • Flexibility in hours and duties to assist team mates and the business as needed
  • Initiative - although the various maintenance and farm plans are set and clear for the team to execute, candidates with initiative and knowledge and a spirit to rise to a challenge and get the job done together, are sought.
  • "A fair go, for those who have a go" and "do it right the first time" attitude.

 

Farmhand candidates should have:

  • A successful track record and experience with livestock, irrigation, hay, pasture improvement and weed management (experience with horses or working on an equestrian property a plus)
  • Must know how to operate and maintain various levels/types of irrigation equipment
  • Can fix and mend post and rail and wire fencing (steel fencing and welding a plus)
  • Attention to detail to maintain the property properly, both functionally and aesthetically
  • Reliable mechanical skills (identify mechanical problems and can fix engines and mechanical problems as they arise)
  • Chemical certificate (a must)
  • Welding a plus

 

Groundskeeper/Gardener candidates must have:

  • Knowledge of trees and plants and their seasonal care requirements
  • How to prevent and treat diseases and pests
  • Experience in the maintenance and fixing of drip irrigation systems
  • Experience and/or qualifications in the operation of various types of mowers and field maintenance equipment

 

General labourer

  • Assist in mending fences (wood and steel)
  • Cleaning duties
  • Mowing and gardening duties
  • Watering of plants and gardens

 

Other positive/desirable attributes:

  • Current car license (truck license desirable - prime mover)
  • Welding 
  • Mechanic
  • Leadership

 

Employment is on a casual basis, full-time hours and depending on position, use of a motor vehicle and other benefits commensurate with the candidate's experience, position offered and job requirements.

+ Social Media & Marketing Internship. 

 We are looking for an marketing/ graphic designer / social media intern to work on a range of in house projects as well as exciting additional external media & marketing projects.
Perhaps you are:
  • Studying or recently completed studies in marketing, communications, graphic design or video/film production. Now looking for an internship with real world experience or re entering the work force.
  • An ideas person, creative thinker
  • An active social media user across social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Snapchat and Instagram
  • Have knowledge around Brand and Product development
  • Graphic design skills (not essential)
  • The ability to work independently and autonomously, without constant supervision
  • Sydney or Hawkesbury based
