The Sydney Polo Club is one of Australia’s most prestigious and historic polo venues.
Located in Richmond NSW, the Sydney Polo Club it is nestled at the heart of the State’s polo community on the banks of the beautiful Hawkesbury river.
Set within 400 acres beautifully landscaped grounds, the Sydney Polo Club is host to a number of polo tournaments throughout the year; and the site for many high fashion photoshoots and major movie film locations including The Great Gatsby.
Once a large dairy farm, the Sydney Polo Club has been transformed into an equine center of excellence; featuring indoor arenas, extensive stabling, and a host of magnificent venues.
In recognition of its standards of excellent, and commitment to the sport of polo, Sydney Polo Club (in conjunction with Destination NSW) successfully bid to become the organiser and host venue for the XI FIP World Polo Championship, which will be held in October 2017.
This tournament is held once every three years. 56 countries are eligible to participate, with approximately 25 who will compete in the qualification rounds held over 5 international zones. The eight international teams that qualify will compete at the Sydney Polo Club between 17-29 October 2017 for the World Champion crown.
The Sydney Polo Club is set on prime agricultural land, which is ideal for a variety of the club is very conscious of its environmental footprint, with sustainability a prime concern.
Social Membership of the Sydney Polo Club will soon be available to the general public. Our Membership Team is finalising the benefits offered at the various levels which will include pre-release ticking opportunities and VIP experiences etc.

Sydney Polo Club has built strong links within the Hawkesbury area. Community activities such as the weekly walking group with the local residents; to involvement with local service clubs, education facilities, local businesses, environmental groups including the Green Army, indigenous groups and the fellow Polo Clubs; is a large part of what makes this club a huge success.
